This is a joint project of several government agencies.
One or more Xavier robots will be used on patrols – they will watch the crowds and look out for “unwanted public behavior”. For example, smoking in prohibited places, improper parking of bicycles and violation of social distance norms.
If violations are detected, the robot will send information to the command center and, depending on the scenario, contact the offender with a message or warning.
It is noted that Xavier robots are able to navigate in space without human assistance. They are equipped with 360-degree cameras and can avoid static and moving obstacles such as pedestrians and vehicles.
