American actor Michael K. Williams, who played the role of Omar Little on the hit HBO series “The Wire,” was found dead in his New York apartment, police said Monday.
“He died in an apartment” in Brooklyn, Lieutenant John Grimpel of the New York City Police Department told AFP.
The lieutenant did not indicate the cause of death, but the New York Post cited other police sources who say that Williams, 54, died of “an alleged overdose in his Brooklyn penthouse on Monday afternoon.”
