“After the introductory sets, I thought I was at the end with physical and mental strength. The fans there helped me a lot. I felt their energy, without them I wouldn’t be able to,” he said.
Alcaraz will play with Felix Auger-Aliassim from Canada to advance to the semifinals. The fifteenth player in the world rankings managed 4: 6, 6: 2, 7: 6 and 6: 4 with the home team Frances Tiafo in the round of 16.
