Sonic Colors: Ultimate Creators Working on Patch for Crashes and Bugs – Gaming – News

Blind Squirrel Games promises to release a patch for Sonic Colors: Ultimate “as soon as possible”. The game recently appeared for PC and consoles, but suffered from several bugs. The Nintendo Switch version of the game in particular suffers from problems.

Community manager Katie Chrzanowski thanks players on Twitter for their feedback and indicate that the issues are being looked into. “We appreciate all the feedback we’ve received so far about Sonic Colors: Ultimate. We’re listening and working on a patch to release as soon as possible.” In addition, the team emphasizes that they have also encountered “graphics problems” caused by playing the game through an emulator, something the developers cannot solve themselves.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate will be officially released on September 7, but players who bought the Digital Deluxe edition have been able to play the game since September 3. Shortly after this early release, posts appeared on social media about bugs, crashes and other stability issues, also writes Eurogamer. These problems would mainly be in the Nintendo Switch version. Players reported, among other things, that they were out of the maps fell or encountered severe visual bugs.

Some of these bugs are said to affect players illegally playing the game through emulators on a PC, but GameXplain gives in a video to that it has also encountered in-game bugs on a legit Switch console. The video contains glitches the YouTube channel encountered during “normal gameplay,” but GameXplain notes that some bugs also require specific steps to perform, and are therefore less likely to occur when players are simply playing the game.
