Completed and validated during the steering committee on Thursday, September 2, the financial roundtable concerning the new high-speed infrastructure project linking Montpellier to Perpignan confirmed the confirmation of the State’s commitment to the tune of 40% and of the various communities in the Region concerned by the LGV in the 40% at their expense. Europe being asked for the remaining 20%. To date, the cost of extending the LGV between Montpellier and Perpignan is estimated at 6.12 billion euros. The President of the Occitanie Region welcomed this financial agreement: “ We are thus respecting the timetable for the opening of the public inquiry in December 2021.. »
