There will be a reunion of Dawson’s Creek? Something similar to what was done a few months ago by the actors of Friends? The most nostalgic have been asking this question for some time, also because it seems that the repatriations of the cast of the historical series are very fashionable. But Joshua Jackson, if that were to be the case, he wouldn’t be particularly happy about it, because (apparently) he’s a little scared of looking too old and, therefore, perhaps a little ridiculous.
In a recent exclusive interview granted to The Guardian, Jackson (who played the beloved in Dawson’s Creek Pacey Witter) was dubious about it. Not that between him and the other actors in the cast there is a swell, on the contrary. But the fact is that Jackson, who in the imagination of many fans is still a little boy, would not want to show the whole world how much all his colleagues and himself have aged. Joshua Jackson granted the interview as part of the promotional phase of the new miniseries Dr Death, of which he is the protagonist: the show is inspired by the true story of the Texan neurosurgeon Christopher Duntsch, convicted in 2017 for intentionally maiming his patients.
Here are Joshua Jackson’s statements regarding the possible Dawson’s Creek reunion:
I think people could be in shock if they saw us, in our forties, sitting on a couch with our backs locked. Nobody wants to see Pacey Witter get up from a chair grumbling!
Joshua Jackson’s contrary opinion regarding a meeting of the original cast, by the way, isn’t even the only one. In 2016, for example, Katie Holmes (in the series Joey Potter) had told Sirius XM:
I don’t think we’re going to have a reunion. We have grown up now, even if we meet again from time to time. I think the appeal of the show was all in the writing of Kevin Williamson, who was able to give us young people a voice. They were really special years, I loved every single moment.

This, among other things, is not even the only news related to Dawson’s Creek that has come in the last few days. In fact, a few hours ago the Netflix news confirmed the return to the platform of the much loved original theme. For reasons related to rights, in fact, the song that all fans remember at the time of its broadcast on Mediaset, I don’t want to wait from Paula Cole, had not been included in the opening titles of the series on the platform. In order for this to be possible, in any case, the singer had to resort to a “trick”. Cole was in fact forced to re-record the piece from scratch.
Here is the announcement related to the change of the theme of Dawson’s Creek on Netflix.
It’s true. I re-recorded “I Don’t Want To Wait”, and they are using the master. All artists should be compensated for their intellectual work. Thank you @SonyTV @netflix and most of all the fans who made this happen. That’s the power of patience & persistence. Grateful. https://t.co/p8eUJ11r54
