This Saturday in August, finally bathed in sunshine after weeks of greyness, Marie * and Julien * say “yes” to each other in front of the altar of a small church in Moselle-Nord. Behind them, family and friends are there to share the moment. The best day of their life! The wedding continues in a communal room, with a photo shoot in a small corner of greenery, meals, dancing… All the elements of a successful marriage. “The day went well, for us in any case, and I have the impression that it is the case of everyone, so it is the main one”, sums up the young groom soberly.
“The atmosphere after the party was clearly not at the top”
Only here … A shadow has come to darken a corner of this idyllic picture. On their return from their wedding, the newlyweds had the unpleasant surprise to find that their house had been visited. “The atmosphere on the way back from the party was clearly not at the top,” Julien quipped.
Taking advantage of the absence of the owners of the premises, criminals forced the rear window of the house. “Maybe they just tried their luck when they saw that no one was there. On the window, you can see a trace, but it is really small, ”adds the groom.
The burglars walked away with a few hundred dollars at most. “Nothing was broken and they didn’t take things of too great a value. We tried to stay focused on the positive of the weekend, ”says the newlywed. A complaint has been filed.
