Martien recently gave a big party in honor of his 60th birthday, but there he told, in the presence of his friends, colleagues and neighbors, that it was also the last party in their – now ‘old’ – home: “Dear Folks, welcome to the first party we’re throwing here and it will be our last. We’re moving again! Yes, again.”
He continues: “This house is just too busy, every day people are at the door and some people don’t even care about the fence. We’ll stay in Noordwijk. We saw a house that you can’t see from the road, so with a driveway, and this will go on sale again!”

Martien and Erica bought their new villa in Noordwijk in April for about 2.7 million euros. Due to the overstrained housing market, the price has already risen sharply: the Meilandjes are now asking 2,995,000 euros for it, according to the newspaper.
Incidentally, the reality stars do not really feel like removing the moving boxes from the attic again: “I am really dreading those boxes, that moving stress again, but we will get through that too. No, the next house is not more expensive again. It’s even cheaper. You know, we’re having a great time in Noordwijk.”
And although Martien is recognized by everyone on the street, he does feel at home in the South Holland town: “Of course it is crazy when I walk through the village. This afternoon I took a picture with forty people while shopping , but that’s not a problem. That’s just part of it. But then it’s nice that when you get home you can close the gate and see no one there!”
