With the pandemic, the filming of Little America has been delayed but do not panic, one of the directors announces that everything should be back in order at the beginning of 2022. A filming which once finished will give way to a season 2 that we can watch on Apple TV +.
A busy start to 2022 for Little America’s film crews
Released in January 2020, the very first season of Little America had received mostly positive reviews. A first part consisting of eight episodes which should see a season 2 arrive.
As the director reveals Emily V Gordon via a tweet, the shooting was delayed because of this sad pandemic which takes time to disappear and which brings a lot of constraints, especially in terms of travel.
Little America *is* coming back! Our show is uniquely UNsuited to shooting in pandemic times, as we have a lot of international actors and a different cast each episode. But we’re prepping to shoot early next year!

Little America * is * back! Our show is particularly unsuitable for filming during a pandemic, as we have a lot of international actors and a different cast in each episode. But we are getting ready to shoot early next year!
As a reminder, Little America traces the lives of some immigrants in the United States and aims to show behind the scenes and the sometimes dramatic obstacles that a person may encounter who decides to leave everything (his native country, his family …) to get started in a delicate “adventure” such as immigrating to another country without documents.
Each episode has its own story as well as its own actresses and actors, a bit like a Black Mirror. Hence Gordon’s explanation, which emphasizes that filming has been complicated in recent months. Anyway, patience it happens!
