The world temporarily ended in New York on Wednesday evening. An offshoot of Hurricane “Ida” brought apocalyptic amounts of rain in connection with hurricane-force winds over the region. Within a few hours it rained as much as it usually did in the entire month of September. In Central Park, 3 inches of rain fell within an hour. That was almost twice as much as the previous record on August 21st during tropical storm “Henry”.
