This is because fatigue is the main symptom of type 2 diabetes but it also depends on the type of food consumed. With breakfast being an integral part of providing energy, diabetic patients are encouraged to consume smoothies, oatmeal, eggs, healthy cereals, yogurt and fruit.

A diabetes-friendly breakfast is one that includes the right proportion of healthy combinations of carbohydrates, protein and fats, which help balance blood sugar. A simple diabetes-friendly breakfast includes a plate of eggs and avocado on whole grain bread or a bowl of fruit and yogurt.
