There was always an exchange between a student from England and one of our class, just for two weeks. Me, I was in the front row and, next to me, a young girl called Katherine“, he first explained. “She sits next to me, she was there, a little thin and she said to me: ‘Can you lend me your pencil?’ Me, it annoyed me because I didn’t like to lend my things. So I give it to her, but I tell her after that she has to come with hers“, he concluded in front of the chroniclers, impatient to hear the rest.
An unforgettable memory. On the Touche plateau not at my post, Matthieu Delormeau remembers that young Katherine then asked him if she could borrow his eraser. Faced with this question, young Matthew loses his calm and categorically refuses. “There, I said to her: ‘No Katherine, we have our things or we don’t have them’“, says the columnist. Vexed, the young girl never sat next to him again and then returned to England two weeks later, at the end of the school exchange. It was only three years later that he discovered that this famous Katherine started a career in England, thanks to his teacher at the time.
