The fourth edition of the ‘Round with young art’, promoted by the Regional Council of the Youth of Calahorra, begins to take shape. In the absence of a few weeks to kick off the tours of the new works – many of them murals – that young artists from La Rioja are doing on the walls and facades of the old town, these days you can already see some finished works.
One of them was signed by Bonssai on the facade of a house on Palacio Street. The author, a muralist from Madrid living in Zaragoza, has used geometric shapes in his work. The painting features the goddess Gaia, from Greek mythology, who is represented with the red scarf typical of popular festivals.

In Mediavilla street, two other walls have served as canvas for the artists. One of them shows the inclusive mural made by María Expósito Rincón from Rioja. A work full of color to give prominence to diversity through the representation of people with disabilities, different cultures and different generations.

Santiago Street is another area where young creators are working. There you can see a mural with different breeds of dogs. It is titled ‘Leaving a mark’.
Most of the authors of this latest edition are from La Rioja and under 30 years of age.

The project ‘Ronda con el Arte Joven’ has, for this edition, the participation of a total of 20 authors, most of them from La Rioja and under 30 years of age. Their work will be announced in several guided tours, carried out by the Calahorra Youth Council between the next September 24 and October 17.

But until then, young people continue to create, not without taking the odd unpleasant surprise, such as the graffiti that have appeared in the second of the murals that is being carried out on Mediavilla Street.
