PKO Ekstraklasa. Transfer window in Poland closed

On the last day of the transfer window, Legia Warszawa was active. The Polish champions brought Ihor Charatin from Ferencvaros and Lirim Kastrati from Dinamo Zagreb. Fans have long complained about the Legia team, but after the last day of transfers, the depth of the squad looks a bit better. Charatin and Kastrati will join, among others Mahir Emreli, Maik Nawrocki or Josue, who already make up the Legion’s strength or are getting more and more chances from Czesław Michniewicz. The transfers of the Polish champions look promising and put the team in the role of the main favorite for the next championship title.

However, the arrival of Lukas Podolski to Górnik Zabrze is considered the loudest transfer this summer in the Polish league. The multiple representative of Germany came to Silesia on a free transfer basis, but some fans already consider him the best player in the Polish league in recent years. For now, Podolski has to face health problems, but after regaining his form, he will certainly be able to make a difference in league matches.

Lech Poznań was not idle on the transfer market. Maciej Skorża’s team intends to fight for the championship, and it confirmed its ambitions with the transfer of Adriel Ba Louy from Victoria Pilzno and bringing Barry Douglas from England. For now, Kolejorz is the leader, but Lech fans count on an equally good performance later in the season, when the league’s rivals return to the highest disposal.

There were also league returns. Damian Kądzior came to Piast Gliwice, which can be called an unexpected move. Many expected him to move to Poland, but fans counted on the transfer of the former Dinam Zagreb player to Legia Warszawa or Lech Poznań. In the end, it was Piast who turned out to be the most specific, and the recent Croatian league star is starting to have an increasing influence on Piast’s game.

After their promotion to Ekstraklasa, the newbies got stronger. Radomiak focused on the Portuguese direction and brought many players coming from this country. Termalica did not bet on many foreign players, but it is worth noting the return of Adam Hlousek to Poland. Górnik Łęczna decided to bring in players experienced at the level of Ekstraklasa and standing out in the back room. The winner of the promotion play-offs signed contracts with Janusz Gol, Bartosz Rymaniak and Damian Gąska.

On the last day of the transfer window, Legia Warszawa was the most active, although we also learned about the loan of Konrad Wrzesiński to Stal Mielec, as well as the signing of a contract by Lechia Gdańsk with Witan Sulaeman from Indonesia. Most clubs focused on finalizing transfers early.

From September 2, Polish clubs can sign contracts only with players who are not currently bound by a contract with any club. In Poland, the winter transfer window will start on February 1 and will last until March 2.
