A burst water pipe is causing nuisance in a residential area in the northeast of Breda. Some streets are under water, the safety region reports. The pipe has burst in three places, probably due to excessive pressure.
It is estimated that about fifty to a hundred households are without water. The safety region expects the repair of the pipelines to take well into the morning. Only then can the affected homes be reconnected to the water network. Until then, residents can go to mobile water taps.
In some streets in the residential area of Geeren-Zuid, holes have been created in the road due to the burst pipes. Water also flooded into some houses. Residents to whom this happened were advised to turn off the main tap.
