“The third dose of vaccination for health workers is 44.48% or 653,351 people,” wrote a statement on the vaccine dashboard page Kemkes.go.id, Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
The third dose of vaccine for health workers uses the Moderna brand. The reason is that Moderna has a higher efficacy than the current vaccine brand.
The Moderna vaccine used as a booster is mRNA-1273. The injection is done intramuscularly with a dose of 0.5 ml in one dose.
In the Circular of the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control Number HK.02.01/1/1919/2021, the government does not allow giving this booster to groups outside health workers (non-nakes).
