Significant resources were deployed on Wednesday, September 1, around 10:20 p.m. after an impressive fire broke out in the premises of the company Gallo, a waste treatment site metal and plastic located in Clairoix, near Compiègne (Oise).
A huge plume of smoke rose above the city. Explosions were heard. The perimeter is cordoned off. A team of drone pilots intervened on site.
The flames several meters high were visible for miles around, sometimes causing confusion in the sector about the exact location of the disaster:
