On October 1, the first “Gen Z” drama in Latvia – the series “Everything Norm” will go to Go3 viewers. It will tell the story of nineteen-year-old David, who, above all, wants everything in this world to be just normal and not stand out from the background, which will be a difficult task for David. The main roles in the series will be played by the young poet Gundars Smuidris, rapper Prusax, singer Patrisha and many favorite actors.
The series “Everything Norm” will be best understood by those born after 2000, as well as those who know that youth consists of impulsive decisions, strong emotions, surprising events, stormy parties and often serious consequences.
It will be the story of the Gen Z generation, who live side by side and deal with issues that other generations have not dared to talk about so openly so far. “Should I become vegan to save the rainforest?”, “I like both boys and girls – my gender doesn’t have to determine my choices!”, “Depression is my natural condition, what’s next?” – such and other similar reflections will be addressed by the characters of the series, which will resonate with those who call themselves the “Gen Z” generation.

”Over the past two years, Go3 has made significant investments in the creation of local content, thus offering increasingly high-quality video content that is more engaging to Latvian audiences. Continuing what we have started with this series, we want to address the audience of young people who are accustomed to high-quality Hollywood-produced films and series. We believe that the first “Gen Z” drama “Viss Norm” in Latvia will become one of the most discussed topics among young people, because when creating this product, we have been brave both in the choice and content of the actors.
In creating the series, we have also worked closely with the actors themselves, who have made this story even more authentic with a significant contribution. In addition, I believe that together with the producers, we have created a series that will intrigue and fascinate not only young people, but also viewers of other generations, ”comments Ivars Lubāns, Go3 marketing manager in Latvia.
The main character of the series, David, played by the young poet Gundars Smuidris, has experienced a traumatic incident in his childhood, which has had consequences for his personality and mental state, but not in the usual way – David has a special ability that the series creators want to keep secret.
One of the most topical hip-hop representatives of the domestic “Gen Z” generation will play David’s best friend Zirni in the Prusax series. We will see him in a very unusual image – as a very neat and ambitious young man with big plans for the future, but those quieter waters are the deepest.
Everything would be much easier if the characters in the series were normal, with normal lives and with normal pasts. But who is normal nowadays? And what does it mean to be normal? Maybe it is the abnormal that creates the illusion that “Everything is the norm”? David’s best friends Paula (dancer and actress Madlēna Valberga) and Laura (young actress Ieva Estere Barkāne) will also look for answers to these questions. The series will also feature singer Patrisha, who will play David’s girlfriend Linda.
The ensemble of young actors will be vividly complemented by beloved actors Intars Rešetins, who will be in the series David’s father, Ieva Puķe, Jānis Jarāns, Evija Krūze, as well as supermodel Ieva Lagūna.-
“Viss Norm” producer Kristians Alhimionoks says: “Together with the director Albert Lightis, we had the idea that young people in Latvia do not have high-quality original content that would reflect on their daily and current problems without didactic instructions. We ourselves are young people with ambitions and goals and, yes, we know both the euphoria of youth and the feeling that you don’t even know where and how you fit into this world. Working with the young actors in rehearsals, we realized that the script created by Rasa Bugavičute-Poe is relevant to them, recognizable, and the actors very quickly began to consider their characters as “their own”. We hope that this will happen to the viewer as soon as possible. “
The series is created by the company “Centaur films” (director Alberts viegliņš, producer Kristians Alhimionoks).
