Fidan and Renze had to stop their talk show immediately Eve. The program did not live up to expectations and had to be overhauled. To the great surprise of the presenters themselves, who, in their own words, were informed too short in advance.

“Of course BNNVARA has spoken to us about their continued development,” NPO boss Frans Klein told the AD. “BNNVARA came to the conclusion that it was stagnating.” The NPO agreed with that conclusion. “That insight came at an untimely moment. Just when the season was over and they were on vacation. Nobody was happy about that,” Frans admits. “Sometimes it goes like this, but we have to keep making sharp choices.”

The replacement for The Eve, Khalid & Sophie, has been on TV since Monday. “With Khalid Kasem and Sophie Hilbrand, we think we are investing in something that has a longer shelf life,” said Frans.
