Scheller had previously denounced the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan as paving the way for the Taliban to come to power.

The controversial soldier took to his Facebook account on Tuesday (31/8/2021) to announce his plans to leave the Marine Corps, even though he has technically been demobilized. He shared a photo of his resignation letter—asking for September 11th—to be addressed to the “American leadership.” The letter concludes with a call for revolution.

“We the people submitted our resignation with the requested date September 11, 2021. Reason: Loss of confidence and confidence,” Scheller wrote in a photo posting of his resignation letter.

“We the people are looking for change. We are the people looking for leadership. We the people are looking for accountability. We the people will take it. Every generation needs a revolution,” continued Scheller.

The Marine Corps soldier initiallyposting a video on Facebook last week in which he lashed out at US military and political leaders for their handling of the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. In his video, he says no one is responsible for the series of errors.

“I have been fighting for 17 years. I’m willing to throw it all away to say to my senior leaders: I demand accountability,” he said in the controversial video.
