The Friends of the Former Jewish Community House Breisach participates in the European Day of Jewish Culture.
. The Friends of the Former Jewish Community Center in Breisach (Blue House) is taking part on Sunday, September 5th, the European Day of Jewish Culture with guided tours and a concert in the hospital church.
The permanent exhibitions in the Blue House are open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. At 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. there are guided tours of the old Jewish cemetery, the meeting point is at Michael-Eisemann-Platz by the Blue House.
Guided tours through the exhibitions “Jewish Life in Breisach 1931” and “After the Shoah” – the Eisemann family before and after the Shoah are also offered at 2 and 4 pm. The meeting point is in the event room of the Blue House on the ground floor.
A reading and a concert on the subject of “Jewish Worlds” will begin at 6 pm in the Spitalkirche on the market square. Heinzl Spagl and Monja Sobottka read texts by Leo Perutz, Hans Habe, Georg Kreisler, Walter Mehring, Egon Friedell and Victor Klemperer. The concert will be performed by Florence Sitruk (harp) with works by Josef Tal, Sergiu Natra, Lambert Bumiller and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
