as Sylvie Meis came of age, she started her first Career as model. After participating in a casting for moderators on the Dutch broadcaster TMF in 2003, she made the jump on television. At the beginning of her career, she initially moderated „Fox Kids“ and the annual „TMF-Awards“. As part of the show, the Dutchwoman was allowed to world stars like Britney Spears interview. Sylvie Meis moderates “Love Island” 2021
After five seasons of „Love Island“ gives Jana Ina Zarrella the moderation staff Sylvie Meis Further. On the beach, the presenter is in her role as „Love Guard“ keep an eye out for love-hungry singles. She then brings her protégés to the „Pool of Love“ from „Love Island“. With hot challenges and romantic dates, the candidates then finally get up close and personal. But be careful: drama and lovesickness are in the format program.
The singles spend four weeks together in a villa on Mallorca. To the Winner couple beckons a winner’s bonus in the amount of 50.000 Euro. Sylvie Meis said about her role as “Love Guard” on “Love Island” in 2021 RTL2-Interview: “I am really looking forward to the new task and exciting time at ‘Love Island’ and I am already full of anticipation to accompany the Islanders in their search for great love.”
Sylvie Meis: marriage and divorce with Rafael van der Vaart
After their wedding in 2005 to soccer players Rafael van der Vaart the moderator’s level of awareness increased in Germany. A year later their love became through the birth of their son Damien crowned. After eight years of marriage together, however, the love-off followed and the two announced their separation. the separation the couple received intense media coverage. Also Rafael’s relationship with Sylvie’s best friend Sabia Boulahrouz made a lot of headlines.
In a YouTube video, the presenter answered questions from fans and also spoke about the breakup with Rafael and her first dates afterwards. She also told how it still affects her today that she was so massively persecuted by paparazzi at this difficult time. When asked whether there could be a love comeback with Rafael, the Dutch woman answered unequivocally, “That is out of the question. I have my husband Niclas and I love him very much and Rafael has the best friend ”.
