Messaging application WhatsApp announced at the beginning of the year that it would block accounts that do not accept the sharing of personal data with Facebook, which bought the company in 2014.
Upon the reactions from all over the world to the decision taken by WhatsApp, it was announced that the use of the application will be allowed for users who do not accept the new conditions. Accordingly, mandatory approval of the new rules will be optional in a future update.
NUMBER OF USERS DROPPED
It was learned that the reason for the decision was the decrease in the number of users and the opposition of various governments.
MANDATORY CONFIRMATION FOR BUSINESS ACCOUNT
The update will be optional, but on the other hand, when chatting with a business account using Facebook’s cloud providers, sending messages will not be possible without accepting the terms.
When you try to chat with a business account, you will need to review and accept these terms. This means that if you only use WhatsApp for personal use and never chat with business accounts, this probably won’t affect you, but if you plan to chat with business accounts you will have no choice.
