The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) doesn’t look the same as it did when it first began in 2008 with Iron Man. Earthly intrigues have spread, inviting space and magic. Now, the multiverse is at the heart of the fourth phase and several actors have bowed out like Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, respectively Iron Man / Tony Stark and Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff. Chris Evans, the interpreter of Captain America / Steve Rogers also returned his apron after Avengers: Endgame. The new incarnation of the superhero is none other than Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie. A character whose route could cross that of Shang-Chi, soon to the cinema in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
And according to Shang-Chi interpreter Simu Liu, a collaboration with Captain America (Sam Wilson) could take place.
An interview relayed by WGTC in which the actor admits that he has “already said too much”.

After the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson in a duet with Shang-Chi?
Several MCU films are coming to theaters soon. Between Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Marvels… A lot of returns are expected. But newbies are also inviting themselves into the universe: we think of the Eternals and Shang-Chi.
And there’s no doubt that Shang-Chi is going to become one of the Avengers, forming a new team of superheroes. Simu Liu already has several desires for his character including that of a collaboration with Captain America, that of Sam Wilson.
In an interview, the actor finds that “the monologue [de Sam Wilson] at the end of Falcon and the Winter Soldier was fantastic ”and congratulates Anthony Mackie on“ his way of playing the role, his balance, the conclusion of his arc as a Falcon ”. Simu Liu believes that this is “a new chapter for Captain America”.
The Shang-Chi interpreter loved the new Captain America so much that he wants his character to collaborate with it. The actor confides that “hypothetically, possibly, perhaps, [Shang-Chi] could work with him one day (..) I can neither confirm nor deny ”.
After this confidence, Simu Liu concludes that he has “already said too much”! We want to believe it: Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, does not like spoilers. Even the little ones …
