The Doctor – nicknamed Valentino Rossi – felt he could appear faster at Silverstone and was satisfied with the time he got during free practice and qualifying. According to him, the selection of the right tires will affect the results of the race tonight.
“I have better pace here, compared to Qatar where I am fourth on the grid. Because I was in the top ten throughout today’s free practice,” said Valentino Rossi, quoted from Yamaha’s official website, Sunday (29/8/2021).
“I feel good with the bike. So now we just need to make the right tire choices for race day. It’s difficult to predict how it will feel in the race, because sometimes you can be strong in practice but slower in the race.
Other than that, Valentino Rossi hope to maintain its position and finish in the top 10. However, he is worried that his recent poor start could see him slip out of the top 10.
