The 27th edition of the famous Course des boulevards de Colomiers will take place on Sunday 5 September. Like every year, the Mac’adam association is organizing the event. The running club has been in existence for 31 years. Philippe Poiblanc, passionate jogger but above all president of the association, is delighted to be able to organize this race again. Indeed, last year, the event had not taken place, because of the health crisis. The whole club stopped for a while, during lockdowns. But, as soon as it was possible, the 50 members seized the opportunity to go running in small groups. This year, Mac’adam had the green light. “We are all anxious to find ourselves on a starting line, to run together again”, rejoices the president.
Three courses
The Course des boulevards always takes place on the first Sunday of September. About 1000 runners participate each year and 80 volunteers are mobilized for the organization. For this 27th edition, 200 registrations have already been recorded, they should increase further until the race. Three courses are organized in the morning: a 3 km race which starts at 9.45 a.m., a 10 km race at 10:15 a.m. and a course for children which starts at 9.15 a.m. “It’s open to everyone, beginners, experienced runners, those who want to run with family, friends, those who aim for performance, we even have regional runners who come”, explains Philippe Poiblanc. To collect your bib, you must present the health pass. “We are counting on the collaboration of each other so that everyone has a good morning”, hopes the president “.
