In Germany, more than 60% of the population has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

About 50 million people, or 60.1% of the population, have received the second dose of the vaccine, the ministry said.

Almost 65% of the population has received at least one dose. According to the data provided by the ministry, 213,092 people received vaccines on Friday alone.

In terms of vaccination levels, the country is led by the Land of Bremen, where 74.4% of the population have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 70.2% have been fully vaccinated.

The lowest vaccination rates are in Saxony, where only 54.8% of the population have received at least one dose of the vaccine, but only 51.4% have been fully vaccinated.

“Every vaccination will help us endure autumn and winter together,” Health Minister Jens Spans said on Twitter on Saturday.
