The 1is and September 2, 1930, Dieudonné Costes and Maurice Bellonte connect Paris to New York nonstop in 37 hours and 18 minutes aboard their Bréguet “Point d’Interrogation”. They thus become the first aviators to overcome the North Atlantic in an east-west direction, the most difficult because of the headwinds. As soon as they return to France, they recount their historic flight in a short story, written by Costes, and from which Gérard Maoui reads an extract.
