Erna Solberg believes that the climate debate has become too closely linked to oil production

ÅLESUND (Aftenposten): The Conservatives rely on other means than stopping oil exploration to cut emissions. But at one point they lacked crucial support.

Erna Solberg is standing in a round room. A hollow bullet hangs from the ceiling at Kongsberg Maritime in Ålesund. The screen, which is glued to the inside of the sphere, shows a 360-degree animated representation of Stavanger. The city, known as Norway’s oil capital, has drowned.

This is intended to illustrate how the country’s fourth largest city in the future may face major climate challenges.
