He claimed that his client was the official Russian Consulate Representative for North Sumatra, not a fake. In addition, the license plate of the Russian Consulate vehicle used by his client is also original.

So, the truth is that I came to the police station to free my driver who was secured with my car,” Fauzi continued.
The luxury car with the license plate of the Russian Consulate, he said, was used for the benefit of accompanying people from the Russian Embassy.
“My job is for the benefit of the Russian Embassy in Medan or North Sumatra related to aspects of education, trade and so on,” he explained.
Fauzi also claimed to be a representative of the Russian Consulate in North Sumatra since 2013. It’s just that the activity at the Russian Consulate Office in Medan, which he claims is on Jalan Karim MS, has decreased.
“However, its activities have indeed decreased because it has been in hiatus for quite a while. However, it is still in the process of reopening, if allowed by the Indonesian government,” he explained.
Previously, the Medan Polrestabes Sat Reskrim team secured four luxury cars belonging to doctors in Medan for using fake Russian Consulate vehicle plates.
From the results of an examination at the Samsat Directorate of Traffic of the North Sumatra Police that the license plates of MF’s luxury cars, namely CC 37 07, CC 37 02, CC 37 01, were not registered and were fake.

After further investigation, there was no Russian Consulate in Medan or in Indonesia,” said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi.
“For the Pajero Sport vehicle that was secured, we imposed a criminal act because the completeness of the documents was false. Meanwhile, the other three vehicles that were also confiscated will be transferred to the Medan Polrestabes Traffic Unit for a ticketing process,” he concluded.
