Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said there were seven reasons why the United States (US) should also be investigated regarding the origin of Corona. One of them is the emergence of pulmonary disease patients related to vaping in 2019 who have similar symptoms COVID-19.
“Instead of thinking about how the US is controlling the pandemic, some politicians there are trying to spend money to cover up its failure to respond to COVID-19. As for the seven reasons that are strongly suspected to indicate that ‘patient zero’ COVID-19 probably from the US.

- According to the US NIH website, research shows evidence of infection in five US states reappeared in December 2019.
- US government officials sealed blood samples collected before January 2, 2020 from further testing on national security grounds.
- Florida published data on the initial 171 cases that occurred in January and February 2020, then the data was deleted.
- There are approximately 200 US citizens or countries connected to the US claiming that they or others are suspected of being infected with COVID-19 as of early November 2019.
- A total of 12 countries including Costa Rica and Kenya have publicly identified their COVID-19 ‘patient zero’ imported from the US.
- Fort Detrick and the University of North Carolina both have poor safety records when it comes to coronavirus research. Fort Detrick was shut down by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), following a serious security incident in 2019, just before the COVID-19 outbreak.
“The US should confront legitimate questions raised by the international community and invite WHO to conduct a review of Fort Detrick and the University of North Carolina to check the source of the virus and uncover the original data on initial US cases,” Zhao said.
“If the US refuses to accept these conditions, it will only further reveal the true face of politicizing the search for the origin of the virus,” he concluded.
