Got an iPhone with sound issues? Apple today announced the launch of a new component replacement program related to the audio of its smartphones.
According to information from the apple giant, the program is aimed at the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro that have been experiencing problems at this level.
iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are not part of the program
According to Apple itself, a "very small percentage" of iPhone 12 and 12 Pro may experience sound issues due to a component that may have faulty receiver module. The company reveals that the affected devices were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.
iPhone 12 and 12 Pro owners who have a device that does not emit sound when making or receiving calls can access the component replacement program free of charge. iPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max models are unaffected and therefore not covered by this service program.
If the iPhone 12 or 12 Pro has damage that makes it difficult or impossible to repair the device, such as a broken screen, they are not readable for repair.
In such cases, you need to resolve this issue first and then activate the free sound repair service. Apple also notes that the repair program covers affected iPhone 12 or 12 Pro devices for a period of two years after the sale.
