Microsoft Changes CPU Requirements for Windows 11

REDMOND, iNews.id – Microsoft has announced Windows 11. First announcing the operating system, the company rolled out some of the minimum hardware requirements you’ll need to upgrade.

One of those requirements is a CPU that was introduced after 2017. So, old computer owners can’t update the operating system. However, Microsoft did state they were considering lowering the requirements.

The good news is that they completely changed the CPU requirements. According to Microsoft, they have reached a conclusion for the minimum hardware Windows 11, as quoted from Ubergizmo.

“We’ve concluded the selected compatible 64-bit processor, 4GB memory, 64GB storage, UEFI secure boot, graphics requirements, and TPM 2.0 are the exact minimum system requirements to meet the principles we set out for your best support.” .

They also added, “We did identify a set of PC models that meet the principles when running on Intel 7th Gen processors that we did not initially include in our minimum system requirements.”
