Sandhausen – FC Ingolstadt has clinched its first win of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga. The promoted team won 2-0 (1-0) at the start of the fifth matchday at SV Sandhausen.

Filip Bilbija (38th) and substitute Fatih Kaya (88th) scored the goals. While the FCI is at least temporarily climbing to the relegation place, the home side missed the second victory in a row in front of 3,153 spectators.

The Ingolstadt team followed up on the words of their coach with deeds right from the start. Roberto Pätzold had demanded a threesome “with all his might”. After just 18 seconds, Dennis Eckert Ayensa appeared in front of SVS goalkeeper Patrick Drewes, but the attacker was offside during the pass. The Baden-Wuerttembergians caught up, but missed almost a dozen opportunities in the first round alone. On the other hand, the Schanzer were more effective. However, Bilbija’s hit was hotly debated because Sandhausen’s defense chief Alexander Schirow was treated during the scene. So the assignment in the penalty area did not fit. Beneficiary Bilbija poked the ball over the line.

After the break, Sandhausen ran up, but couldn’t equalize. From an SVS point of view, it got even worse, because Kaya finally let the FCI breathe a sigh of relief after the weak start to the season.
