Germany, Spain and Sweden End Evacuation Mission in Afghanistan

ACCEPTANCE German , Spain and Sweden have officially ended the evacuation mission in Afghanistan on Friday (27/8). All of their troops had left the country.

The last German planes left Kabul on Thursday (26/8), when Berlin officially ended its evacuation mission in Afghanistan. “All German soldiers left the country unharmed,” the German Defense Ministry said in a statement.

“Three German military aircraft took off from Kabul airport on Thursday evening local time for Tashkent in neighboring Uzbekistan,” the German news agency reported. DPA.

The three flights were the last scheduled as part of the German government’s evacuation mission. The plane is expected to return to Germany on Friday local time.

Germany has evacuated a total of 5,200 people from 45 countries since the start of operations in Kabul on August 16,” said Bundeswehr Inspector General Eberhard Zorn.
