Last week, 22-month-old Lyudmila Kuzina lived with her family in a holiday home in Smolensk, west of Moscow. Her mother and sister visit a neighbor that Tuesday. The young girl follows and walks into the forest.
Lyuda gets lost and cannot find her way back alone. As the “Moscow Times” reports, over 1,000 volunteers, officials and military personnel are constantly on the lookout. For several days there is no trace of the little one.
Lyudmila never wants to run away again
But on Friday – a full four days later – the tide turned: A group took a short break in their search. «They heard a beep. They called and heard another sound, ”explains the rescue team in charge in a social media post. It is then found in a windbreak.

Lyuda and her family are extremely lucky. The runaway disappeared into the forest without eating or drinking. After the incident, the almost two-year-old spends several days in the hospital – among other things injured by insect bites.
After the rescue, Lyuda tells her mother that she will never run away again.
