Changes to the Survey Legal Mortgage Rules

The government is preparing to change the rules relating to legal mortgages and prohibit their use for contracts valued at $ 20,000 or less.

Although our information leads us to believe that the residential sector would be mainly targeted, we do not know the exact nature of the provisions that will be proposed and we wish to explain the importance of the legal mortgage even for contracts under $ 20,000. in all sectors of our industry before provisions affect all sectors.
