With an investment of three million cordobas, the Ministry of Family Economy, inaugurated the drying area, cellar, honey water reception basin, hygienic services and solar panels of the Cocoa Beneficiary at the service of 334 members of the Multisectorial Cooperative 29 of March, RL in Siuna, Las Minas, North Caribbean.
The benefit was equipped with a digital scale, scale, hydraulic skates and tools for managing Cacao plantations: machetes, files, shredders, saws and scissors; equipment for fertilization: motor pumps, chainsaws and pruners.
In this way, the Sandinista government continues to accompany the producer families of the cocoa sector of Las Minas, in increasing their storage capacity, productivity and improvement of good practices in the beneficiation process and transformation with high quality standards.
With this work, the quality of the Cacao commercialized and access to better markets are guaranteed, contributing to the mitigation of the damages caused by the passage of hurricanes Iota and Eta.
