The Clean Clothes Campaign foundation, which strives for safe working conditions for textile workers, announces that the Bangladesh agreement will be extended after all. That deal is a legally enforceable agreement with some 200 international clothing brands that commit to only work with textile mills that allow their workers to work in safe conditions. The textile factories must comply with building and fire safety and be prepared to be checked for this. The brands that support the agreement must pay their suppliers enough so that they have enough resources to improve the working conditions of their workers.
