Hamburg – The Hamburg Towers want to start selling tickets for the 2021/22 season in the next two weeks. Since more than half of Hamburg’s residents are already fully vaccinated, the Hamburg Senate decided on Tuesday to change the Hamburg Corona Ordinance for next Saturday. From now on, public institutions will have the option to offer offers exclusively for vaccinated and convalescent people and thus to be exempt from certain requirements of the Hamburg SARS-CoV-2 containment ordinance.

For sports events in front of an audience, including the home games of the Hamburg Towers in the Bundesliga and in the 7DAYS EuroCup, the 2G option model offers the opportunity to dispense with the distance requirement and to freely arrange seating and standing space. At the same time, the maximum number of people indoors will be doubled to 1,300.

“We are very happy that we can now work towards a start of the season in front of an audience. The 2G model is quite a conceivable option for us. Together with the Hamburg authorities, we will examine all possibilities and options in the coming days as to how we can possibly give more than the currently approved 1,300 fans access to our games in the edel-optics.de arena within the framework of a special permit “, says managing director Jan Fischer.
