GRAND RAPIDS – A man who tried to kidnap the governor of the US state of Michigan was sentenced Wednesday to six years and three months in prison. The man, Ty Garbin, was part of the Wolverine Watchmen, an anti-government militia that wanted to kidnap and try Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer out of dissatisfaction with her corona policy.
