JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Greysia Polii, a gold medalist in women’s doubles badminton at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, revealed the facts regarding her award.
Together with the famous artist Boy William, Greysia revealed that she always brought her gold medal because until now she still couldn’t believe she had won the Olympics.

Apriani Rahayu’s partner in women’s badminton explained that the medal was not completely made of gold, even the contents of the medal were only plastic.
“This is a gold layer, but the inside is like, so all kinds of plastic, he made the inside,” said Greysia on YouTube Boy William, quoted Thursday (26/08/2021).
However, the medal is still plated with pure gold with a content of six grams.
“So it’s not real gold, it’s smart so it won’t be sold again,” said Boy.
