On Friday morning, around 8:14 a.m., the fire brigade was called to a room fire in a residential building on Moritzstrasse. Upon arrival at the scene, triggered smoke alarms and smoke development in an apartment on the ground floor could be detected. The fire brigade deployed a task force under respiratory protection to rescue people and fight fires. In the smoky apartment was still the resident, who was looked after by the ambulance service and emergency doctor with suspected smoke inhalation. There was food on the stove in the kitchen. After the extinguishing measures, a high-performance fan was used to extract smoke from the rooms. During the operation, Moritzstraße had to be closed in both directions for about 30 minutes. (THe)
