The Cartagena executive Luz Elena del Castillo will assume next October 1 as President and CEO of Ford Motor Company for Mexico, Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean. This was announced by the firm of the blue oval highlighting its More than 25 years of experience in the automotive sector, 12 of them in Ford and eight, as director of the brand in Colombia.
Will relieve Hector Perez, who is retiring from the company after nearly 30 years of service. During his tenure, Pérez managed to face the crisis due to the pandemic and renewed Ford vehicle range with models like the Bronco Sport, Maverick and Mustang Mach-E.
Among the functions as President and CEO of Ford Mexico, is to lead region operations including marketing, sales, service and the supervision of product development, purchasing, FBS and manufacturing plants. Without a doubt, a huge responsibility.

Luz Elena del Castillo is graduate and magister in Business Administration from the Xavier University of Cincinnati, and also has an MBA from the Universidad de los Andes, in Colombia.
He started his professional career in the automotive sector more than 25 years ago, leading the activities of Sofasa when it was a partnership between Renault and Toyota.
He joined Ford Colombia as Managing Director in 2008, passing in 2017 to General Directorate for Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean, a business unit associated with the company’s Mexican subsidiary.
Is now the third woman president that assumes that responsibility within Ford Mexico.
