The relocation of the Garkalne Post Office of Garkalne Parish, Ropaži District, to new premises instead of the previously planned 27 August 2021 has been postponed to 24 September due to a change in the terms of the newly elected local government agreement. Thus, Garkalne Post Office continues to serve customers at the current address on Vidzeme Highway 23, but on September 24 will start working on Vidzeme Highway 1d. Due to relocation works on September 23, the work of Garkalne Post Office in the existing premises will be shortened, but at the new address on September 24, the branch will start work at 10 am.
As the newly elected local government changed the terms of the agreement, the previously planned relocation of the Garkalne Post Office to the new premises on Vidzeme Highway 1d was postponed from 27 August to 24 September. Due to the relocation works, the opening hours of the Garkalne Post Office will be changed on September 23, and it will be open from 7 am to 12 noon.
From September 24, Garkalne Post Office will start working in new premises on Vidzeme Highway 1d, and on this day the branch will be open for customers from 10 am to 3 pm. mobility impairments and young parents with prams.
When starting work in the new premises, the working hours of the Garkalne post office will be changed – the post office will continue to work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 am to 3 pm and on Tuesdays, Thursdays from 8 am to 6 pm.
Residents of Garkalne will be informed about the postponement of the relocation of the post office with notices in their mailboxes, and this information will also be available at the existing premises of the post office.
