“My father built a stadium in the middle of the mountain (Mendoza, Argentina) and named it Estadio Leo Messi. I hope you see it, it was my father’s dream. I think this is a better tribute than that given by Barcelona,” he wrote.
Francisco Javier Guardiola was also interviewed by Ole. He discussed the reasons behind his act of making the Estadio Leo Messi, as a form of his desire to pay homage to someone Lionel Messi.
“I want to make a small tribute to someone who has brought great joy to all of us. He is a part of history, not only in football but also in art.”
“It was just a simple tribute from me. At first it was a secret, but my daughter then made it so crowded around the world,” said Guardiola, the creator of the Estadio Leo Messi.
