Taliban banned dollars from Afghanistan

The Taliban promised to confiscate dollars and antiques when they try to import or export them from the country, as well as punish violators.

The export of dollars and antiques was banned from Afghanistan. This is stated in the appeal of the Taliban movement, published on behalf of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Twitter.

The statement says that the export of American currency from Afghanistan is strictly prohibited. The smuggling of currency and antiques into the country is also prohibited.

“We announce to all citizens that it is strictly prohibited to smuggle dollars and antiques or export them from the country under any pretext by land or air. In this regard, we draw your attention to the fact that if these things are found on someone, they will be immediately confiscated and their owners punished in accordance with the law, “the Taliban said.

The ban applies to both ground and air travel.

Formerly Taliban blocked the road to Kabul airport and said that Afghans would no longer be allowed there.
