Charlie Watts, drummer of the Rolling Stones, died in London. Watts was 80 years old and had throat cancer in 2004. In early August he announced that he would not be participating in the band’s next tour. He had been a member of the Stones since January 1963, when he teamed up with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones.
