People in Dresden demonstrate for the acceptance of Afghans

Dresden – People in Dresden took to the streets on Monday to accept vulnerable people from Afghanistan. The Seebrücke initiative spoke of 450 to 500 participants, the police did not name the number of participants. However, the demonstration went off without any disruptions.

The organizers said that many people from the Afghan community in Dresden had come to the rally under the motto “Airlift now”. “There were many young women and girls represented.”

The mood was very personal – also because of the well-rehearsed votes from people in Afghanistan. It is now a matter of swiftly accepting people in danger and a reasonable right to stay for those who are already in Germany.
