After a review of our COVID dashboard from last year, as well as investigation of our neighboring district dashboards, we have updated the District 15 dashboard this year. Our goal in maintaining the COVID dashboard is to provide our community with timely and relevant information with excerpt to COVID-19 in District 15.
In an effort to streamline the board, only positive cases will be displayed. Last year, the dashboard was updated daily; this year, the board will have added cases as they are processed by our health services team. The dashboard will display District and school data and will differentiate elementary and junior high cases in a weekly summary. The dashboard will not update on weekends.
We have removed data from close contacts, as that information is more relevant for internal contact tracing. If a close contact is later identified as COVID-positive, the positive case numbers will reflect that additional case.
We will add the results of SHIELD once we start testing those who have opted for it.
